Chairman Murkowski and Ranking Member Cantwell Announce Upcoming Hearing Schedule

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee today announced its next five upcoming hearings over the coming weeks on a variety of issues, including the fourth and final legislative hearing related to a broad energy bill; drought conditions throughout the western United States; the Nuclear Waste Administration Act of 2015; Department of Energy nominations; and legislation before the National Parks Subcommittee.   • Tuesday, June 2, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on the status of drought conditions throughout the western United States and actions states and others are taking to address them.
     
  • Tuesday, June 9, 9:30 a.m. REVISED and RESCHEDULED Full committee hearing to receive testimony on energy accountability and reform legislation.
     
  • Wednesday, June 10, 2:30 p.m. Subcommittee on National Parks legislative hearing.
     
  • Tuesday, June 16, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to consider Department of Energy nominations.
     
  • Thursday, July 9, 10 a.m. Full committee hearing to receive testimony on the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle and related legislation, including S. 854, the Nuclear Waste Administration Act of 2015.

All hearings will be held in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee room, Dirksen 366, and webcast live on the committee’s website. Witness testimony will be available online immediately before the start of each hearing.
